Welcome to the Rathauskeller - A restaurant & hotel for 350 years. The cellar of the townhall has accommodated an inn since 1669. Starting as inn “with a golden stag” in the old times, the traditional inn “Zum Goldenen Hirschen” is now the oldest restaurant in the city of Melk which has always been privately owned. The unique walls and vaults have now been brought to new life. We really look forward to welcoming you to the wholly renovated Rathauskeller. Our traditional Austrian cuisine satisfies every taste.
